Project Overview
Commissioned by Kartal Municipality, the project developed an urban regeneration master plan for a strategically located site in Kartal city centre. The area contained a complex mix of publicly and privately owned properties, requiring an integrated planning approach balancing public interests with existing ownership rights.
The master plan proposed a mixed-use redevelopment framework combining public amenities, commercial functions and residential development. Key components included a cultural centre, retail and mixed-use areas, enhanced public spaces and a renewed urban square designed to reinforce the civic identity of the district centre.
Property ownership and development rights were assessed to inform feasible redevelopment scenarios and housing proposals, protecting stakeholder interests while supporting high-quality urban renewal.
